I just got this item and I am not impressed. It is very small. When the package refers to 6 cups, it doesn't mean 6 measuring cups by any means, and I'm not sure they can even mean 6 four ounce demitasse cups. The coffee maker will hold 16 ounces.
When you want to pour liquid from the part with the spout, you need a lid to keep the liquid from running over the top as well as out the spout. So you have to keep the two sections together as you pour. This makes it so you can't pour all of the liquid out- some of it will run back into the top section, meaning you have less than 16 ounces of coffee in the end, and really not quite enough for 2 normal sized cups of coffee. The coffee will not be "good to the last drop" because the dregs have grounds in them, so in the end, I think it makes just one cup of coffee.
If you take the sections apart before you pour, and put the small lid on the section with the spout, it seals very tightly, and the liquid cannot pour, it can only dribble. There would have to be a small hole drilled in the top of this lid to allow air in while you pour.
It is made of very thin metal, resulting in some sharp edges on the tops of the separate containers. The edges are quite sharp, actually. As I was washing the coffee maker prior to using it for the first time, I cut my knuckle on the edge of a container by trying to reach inside to scrub it.
